At Kids Village, we take pride in our aesthetics, but not for the reasons you may think.
The enchanting storybook atmosphere of Kids Village is deliberately designed to encourage an exceptional learning experience for our students. The goal of the beautiful storybook storefronts, cobblestone streets, life-sized oak tree, and seasonal decorations are threefold:
By building a uniquely beautiful and whimsical learning environment for our students, we are creating a mindset of imagination. This allows for creative problem solving and development of new ideas, which encourages students to think outside the box to tackle any variety of challenges they may face in the future.
Albert Einstein said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge, for knowledge is limited to all we know and understand while imagination embraces the entire world and all there will ever be to know and understand.”
We believe that both knowledge and imagination are integral to the success of our students. By empowering our students with knowledge of the world around them—whether it be academics or lifelong skills—we give them a base of information and reason upon which they can build for the rest of their lives. By conscientiously encouraging imagination and creativity, we are giving them a mindset to not only see what’s immediately around them, but also what’s possible. Through this, Kids Village is encouraging the innovators, engineers, problem-solvers, entrepreneurs, and creators of our young generation.
Represent a Daily Reminder of Growth and Potential
The village itself symbolizes the world in which we live, where each individual has unique gifts and talents. At Kids Village, the variety of workshops and classrooms give each child an opportunity to explore and discover their natural talents while expanding lifelong skills.
The classrooms and workshops surround a life-sized oak tree that represents special significance to the students and staff at Kids Village. This tree represents life, knowledge, and growth. It reminds us to never underestimate the potential that each child has for success. It signifies that even at such a young age, children are developing roots that will guide them to becoming capable, confident, hardworking and intelligent young adults. It serves as a daily reminder that each child, no matter how small, has within them a greatness that will one day be a force for good and growth within our community and the lives of others.
Help our Students Become Excited About School
When children walk through the front doors of Kids Village for the first time, if they smile wide and their eyes glitter, then we know we’ve sparked something that will follow them for the rest of their lives—excitement to learn.
Early childhood education is one of the most important periods of a child’s life, not only because children are beginning to learn the base of knowledge upon which the rest of their educational careers will build, but also because it sets the tone for their viewpoint of school for the rest of their lives. If, during these years, they feel accepted, energized, and excited at school, this will translate into a genuine passion for learning. If they learn to solve problems creatively, think outside the box, and that—with a little creativity, hard work, and diligence—anything is possible, then they will be able to find success wherever they end up in their lives.
Have you Toured Kids Village?
We’re often told that even photos and videos of Kids Village just don’t do the school justice—that it takes stepping through the front to truly experience the magic of the school.
